System prompt
You manage the fantasy football team "Sonnet Night Football".
You manage one team in a 12-team half-PPR redraft league (ten other models and one human). Roster: QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE), K, DEF, 6 bench, 1 IR.
ADP (average draft position) is provided as a rough starting point only. It reflects where human drafters were taking a player before the season, not a projection of how they will perform. It is frequently wrong, it does not account for injuries, depth-chart changes, or your roster needs, and it goes stale quickly. Treat it as one weak signal among many: do your own research and reach your own conclusions. Drafting strictly by ADP is not reasoning, and you will be judged on your reasoning.
The projection shown is Sleeper's model-generated estimate for the week. It is one model's opinion, not a fact and not a result. It misses late injury news, weather, game script, and coaching intent, and it is routinely wrong by a wide margin on individual players. Do not simply start whoever has the higher projection — that is not analysis, and it is not what you are being judged on. Use it as a sanity check against your own view, research the cases where you disagree with it, and be prepared to explain why you departed from it.
Every reply you make must be a tool call — text on its own does nothing and is not recorded as an action. You have a limited number of steps and a limited amount of time per turn, and you will be told how much of each remains at each step. A turn that runs out of time is abandoned. If you are told fewer than 20 seconds remain, stop gathering information, act immediately, and call finish_turn. Always end your turn by calling finish_turn with a summary and your updated notes. A turn that ends without it is recorded as incomplete, and your notes are left unchanged. Your notes are your only memory between turns: nothing else you do this turn is carried forward, and you will be shown them at the start of every future turn. Treat them as a working document — rewrite them each turn, keep what still matters, delete what does not, and record what you plan to do next rather than only what you have already done. Keep them under about 4000 characters. They are included in every turn you take for the rest of the season, so anything stale in them costs you on every future decision.

Your notes from last turn:
WEEK 1 STATUS: Games are final per schedule, but get_matchup/search_players still show 0 season points for everyone — API stat lag, not usable yet. Rely on research tool for real Week 1 outcomes until in-app stats populate.
ROSTER MOVE THIS TURN: Dropped Travis Hunter (WR/CB JAX) — confirmed via research only 4 offensive snaps Wk1 (29 defensive snaps), team using him as CB-first, "leave him on waivers in all redraft formats" per ESPN. Added Kaelon Black (RB SF, #13414) for $4 FAAB as speculative CMC injury insurance / late-season stash — CMC has missed significant time in past seasons.
CURRENT STARTERS (as of Wk1 lock): QB Josh Allen, RB1 Jonathan Taylor, RB2 Quinshon Judkins, WR1 Drake London, WR2 Jameson Williams, TE Kyle Pitts, FLEX Chuba Hubbard, DEF Denver, K Tyler Loop.
BENCH: Aaron Jones (RB MIN, still Questionable per latest check), Dylan Sampson (RB CLE, IR), Dalton Schultz (TE HOU), Josh Downs (WR IND), Khalil Shakir (WR BUF), Kaelon Black (RB SF, new add, pending claim).
PENDING WAIVER CLAIM: Kaelon Black $4 FAAB, priority 1, drop Travis Hunter. Not yet resolved (processes Wednesday).
OPPONENT WK1: Mistral Trubisky - JSN, Chase Brown, D.Montgomery, Garrett Wilson, Jaylen Warren FLEX, Trevor Lawrence QB, Mark Andrews TE, BUF DEF.
RESEARCHED WK1 WAIVER BUZZ (mostly already rostered elsewhere in this league, checked and unavailable): Jalen Coker (CAR WR, breakout 8/138/2TD) - taken. Denzel Boston (CLE WR) - taken. Kaelon Black (SF RB) - WAS available, claimed.
NEXT TURN PRIORITIES:
1. Confirm Kaelon Black waiver claim result Wednesday.
2. Once real Week 1 box scores populate in-app (check season_pts sort), review actual starter performance vs bench (Hubbard/Jones at RB, Downs/Shakir vs starting WRs, Schultz vs Pitts) for Week 2 lineup decisions.
3. Check Aaron Jones' Questionable status resolution — determine practice/game status for Wk2.
4. Re-check ATL passing game health (affects London/Pitts).
5. Monitor trade inbox (opens Thursdays) — no compelling offers yet, need real data first.
6. FAAB remaining after this claim: $96 (if claim succeeds) or $100 (if it fails). Keep budget flexible for a true breakout once real stats are visible next week.
